Rainy Day Blues

London Likes the New Camera!!! --->

London and I got a lot of things done around the house today. It rained ALL DAY! It's still raining quite a bit actually!

We got up a little late, which was lovely! London is feeling MUCH better today. (And, is sleeping better, so far, right now) We did lots of chores since we were stuck inside. But, we did save plenty of time for playing with London's new toys!

The cats got flea treatment today, too! Yay!!!

It's definately lonely without Ian home. But, we're doing our best, and having a good time!
Our cat, Rosco, misses him terribly. He's a very wishy washy cat.

New TOYS, New Books, New PJ's!

Our model is wearing a luxurious organic cotton one-piece pajama ensemble in concord. She dazzles the crowd with her expert ability to walk on books AND read them! Isn't she stunning ladies and gentlemen?

Yo Baby!

So, Ian and Carol just left. :(
But, London is so immersed in her new toys.. she's doing great. We were out most of the day, and London was a total soldier! She hasn't been feeling well, teething and whatnot. But, she's so tough she makes Ian and I look wimpy wimpy wimpy.

Hopefully our new tires come in tomorrow so we can drive without fear once again!

Anniversary

Today is the 4 Year Anniversary of the Ian and Megan Show!!!!

We celebrated with a LARGE breakfast and a nice mellow day at home.

-We're looking forward to Ian's mom, Carol's, visit this weekend! We'll all be going out to dinner.
Then Ian will be going to Alabama with her to visit, and to do some work on the house. London and I will miss him terribly, but it should be good for all of us. :)

London's First Storytime!

Mother Goose on the Loose is the name of the storytime program at the Jeffersonville Library. The library has recently been remodeled, and is quite nice! It has lots of fountains, and London loves them all!
I was very surprised with the amount of people at storytime. There were 10-12 other moms each with 1 child, some with 2. They were all very friendly and the kids had a blast!
The storyteller is fabulous! She knows all her rhymes by heart and interacts SO well with the kids. It's very interactive. She gets the kids moving all around and dancing and singing along with the rhymes. I was very glad that she didn't just read a few books and, The End. She played very well to short attention spans by being very brief with each segment and keeping the volume high.

London had an unreasonably large amount of fun! For one activity, the story lady walks around with a little drum, and each child gets to bang it for each syllable of their own name. Very cute! London would have kept that drum all day!
Next, a rhyme about pigs flying, involving a stuffed pig. Post rhyme - story lady comes around again, and each child gets to take a turn helping the pig fly. Some kids lauched piggy, some just handed her back. London gave her a hug, and reluctantly passed her back...
Then Humpty Dumpty. Story Lady has craftily fashioned several felt characters and set pieces to use along with the rhymes. And, for this she has a little wall and Humpty himself - in a splayed, falling position. For this activity the kids get to take turns knocking Humpty on the floor. London could barely contain herself until her turn! Finally, she's UP! She crawls, runs, crawls.. and then masterfully knocks him down! YES! She even put him back up. What a nice girl!

Storytime only runs about 35 minutes, which is perfect. London and I then went to look for some new books. After choosing her books (she'd take them all down if I blinked) she got a very nice compliment from Story Lady about being the FIRST first timer to knock Humpty off the wall. What a smarty!

I was very proud of her. Not only for being awesome. But, for being very well behaved. She's never been in a crowd before. She was angelic, even after the shell shock wore off!

A Blog is Born!

We now have a blog!

It will, almost entirely, chronicle the excellence of London Clover!
There is much of this excellence to report!

Thanks for visiting! I'm keeping this post 'intro-y', it's past my bedtime! ;)
